If any of you are following the work the Intel Software Network is doing, and I know you are, you may want to grab the RSS feed for the Flickr account we just set up. Aaron’s trip to Mashup Camp is documented on there, as is the recent ISN Mobile Developer Community Meeting and some photos from the Mobile Mod Contest.

Also, I made mention of the Intel 45 Nanometer blowup over the weekend on my primary blog. Do you think the blow up is bad for ISN or Podtech?

Caffeine Donuts

I was alerted to this by one of the ladies on the Women Game Developers list I’m on, earlier tonight:

So the molecular scientist who moonlights as a cafe owner developed a way to add caffeine to baked goods, one that eliminates the natural, bitter taste of caffeine.

Snip

The amount of caffeine in his creations can vary, but Bohannon can easily put 100 milligrams of caffeine — the equivalent of a 5-ounce cup of drip-brewed coffee — into the treats he plans to market under the “Buzz Donuts” and “Buzzed Bagels” names.

He’s busy getting patents and shopping them around to Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts at the moment, but you can be sure that these caffeine cakes will be hitting a bakery in your area very soon.

What a great idea!

The Model 02 by OQO is really generating some buzz since it’s debut at CES last week (won Best of CES Award and was mentioned in Gates’ keynote). See the video from OQO here.

OQO is made up of former Apple-ites, and they bring the beautiful and practical design of their former employer to the Model 02. Irina Slutsky and Eddie Codel met with Nick Merz, the Dir of Design at OQO. Here’s the video from Podtech.

I’m seriously considering this. I’ve been in the market for a UMPC for 2 months now, and everyone I see just isn’t quite what I want (a full PC that will fit in my purse). The closest I’ve found is not really a UMPC, but a Tablet with a 5.5″ screen, LG I think.

I’m in San Fran next week, I may see if I can get my greedy little hands on this thing when I get there.

Day one was all about networking.  Here’s a short video that shows you a bit of what we did yesterday.  There was structured time to make freinds and network, but I think I made better contacts at the ShareASale sponsored party Sunday night.  The pretty blonde that sings and the last man that sings are the organizers of the Affiliate Summit, Shawn Collins and Missy Ward.
